When you own a computer that is acting up, you will start to analyze everything that could be going wrong with it. Computers and laptops are not very cheap and when they start acting funny, you start to rightfully get worried and anxious. Most of the time when a laptop is crashing, it is due to a hardware or component in the computer that is backfiring, not something very serious and can usually be fixed if caught early enough. This is your helpful guide to help you work through the crashes and get them to stop completely.
The first thing you can do to try to stop the computer or laptop from crashing is to reboot it. Sometimes when a computer is crashing nonstop, it just wants to be reset. Do not click on the button to put it to sleep, do not hold the power button to turn it off, and do not click the option to restart it. All you have to do is find the shutdown button in your windows tab and shut it down. Let it rest for a few minutes and then book it back up. This is the most basic fix for your crashing laptops and computers.
If this doesn’t work, there is another way. You can shut down your computer and reboot it by using your keyboard controls. Sometimes your computer needs a fresh way to reboot and using the keyboard will give it just that. You can trigger this action by pressing on the Alt key and the F4 key at the same time, a windows tab will come up and all you have to do from there is select shut down. This will shut down your laptop and you can boot it back up in a few minutes.
Next, make sure that your CPU is in working order. Sometimes dirt and dust can get into your computer casing and clog up your fans. All you have to do here is make sure that the inside of your computer is clean, and make sure that nothing is blocking the air. If something is blocking the fan, your laptop might be getting too warm and that is why it is shutting down and crashing constantly.
You can also make sure that your drivers are working properly. There might be a bad driver somewhere in your computer, by fixing bad drivers you can easily get your computer back in working order. Though. fixing bad drivers is decently easy, you should talk to someone who has worked on a computer and laptop before if you have no prior knowledge. If you have worked on a laptop before and have experience fixing and replacing drivers, then you are free to replace and fix them yourself.
Follow this list, going from the top down. By following this list you should be able to locate the problem with your computer and you will be able to fix it very quickly. Your computer and laptop is very important, it should be treated like it is important. If you do not take care of it with the best care, it will not last very long. But if you take care of it, clean it regularly, and make sure that it is in top working order, you will have this laptop for years and you might even be able to pass it down to a younger generation who needs it when you are ready for a newer version.
