The goal should be to know what is on the mind of your customers as often as possible. This makes it less likely that you will disappoint them along the way.

Last, it is also a good idea to get a sense of how your competition goes about keeping its customers happy.

Yes, finding out such info can make it easier for you to take care of the customers you have and those you look to gain.

Visit your competition’s website or websites, talk to customers of yours that also shop with them and so on.
