  4. Pizhichil: Pizhichil is a form of technique where oil is released on the body and later is followed with body massage.
  5. Kati and Janu Basti: It is a technique where a wheat flour reservoir is made on the knee and back and warm oil is filled inside.

Now as you can see oil is a very important factor when it comes to Panchkarma.  It can help cure back pain. Let us look at a few oils that can be beneficial for Panchakarma. 

1. Almond oil

Almond oil is used for dry and rough skin purposes. It is beneficial for people who have Vata dosha. Confusion in the mind, too brittle bones, stress, anxiety, knee pain, etc., are some common indicators of Vata dosha. 

Almond oil is a soft treatment for the skin. In fact, it can also be used for babies. 

Almond oil is also useful against sun damage and tanning or darkening of the skin.

2 Coconut oil

Coconut oil is rich in vitamin E. It is the best anti-ageing treatments. It is loaded with antioxidants that help the skin from sagging and wrinkling. It is full of fatty acids and triglycerides which is good for the glow on your skin.

5 Castor Oil

Castor oil, just like mustard oil, has got many health benefits. It is extensively used in Ayurveda. It is used for various kriyas and has got many medicinal properties. It is very popularly used for the basti kriya.

Castor oil is also used for cooking as it is super helpful in bowel movements. It is also a great hair growth serum and can be used to grow facial hair.

6 Grapeseed oil 

Grapeseed oil is a lightweight non-comedogenic and odourless oil. It is a very therapeutic oil. It adds that glow to the skin. Along with that it also has anti-microbial properties.
